School milk price hike

SCHOOL milk in Nottinghamshire has increased in price from £8 to £11 per term.

The price of milk in the county’s primary schools increased for the first time in almost three years on Tuesday of this week, May 3.

Nottinghamshire County Council’s cabinet member for personnel and performance, Andy Stewart, said: “All under-fives and children aged between five and seven years old who are eligible for free school meals will continue to receive their daily milk free. We are one of only a handful of local authorities across the country that still supplies free milk.”
