School to benefit from programme

Brinsley Primary School will benefit from a £15m programme set to improve the condition of schools across the county.

The village primary is one of 25 schools Nottinghamshire County Council has decided to invest in over the next year.

In addition, £1.8m will be spent across the county to create extra building space for the expected increase in pupils this year and a further £2m will be spent on replacing mobile classrooms where required across Nottinghamshire.

The authority has set the criteria to prioritise the schools in need of improvements to roofs, walls and windows and electrics.
