AN ex-paratrooper from Nuthall helped organise a service to mark the 40th anniversary of the death of a soldier killed in an IRA bomb blast.
Ken Sellars rounded up the troops for the service at St Michael Willet’s graveside in Blidworth.
The soldier’s former colleagues and family laid wreaths, read a citation and sounded the last post.
Sgt Willetts was one of the first British soldiers to be killed in Northern Ireland.
He served in the 3rd Battalion of the Parachute Regiment and died in Belfast.
