Shopkeeper attack: two quizzed and search for car

Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw a Vauxhall Insignia used in a shop robbery lin Awsworth.

They grey saloon was used by robbers who fled Londis Convenience store on Lawrence Avenue just after 9pm on Tuesday May 20.

Four masked men entered the shop and struck the shopkeeper in the head with a unknown implement, they stole cigarettes.

The 31-year-old victim was treated in hospital for serious injuries but is now back home.

Two men, aged 24 and 20, have been arrested, quizzed and released on police bail.
