Slimmers in Kimberley and Nuthall have been swapping clothes to celebrate jointly losing 34 stone so far this year.

Members of Weight Watchers brought their old oversized clothes in and swapped them for smaller items, raising £91 for Cancer Research and Diabetes UK.

One of the group members Karen Tacey, who has lost five stone, said: “I am so proud to be part of such a fantastic group who are taking some great steps to reduce their weight and get healthier. It has been lovely to celebrate the success and also raise funds for such great causes as well.”

Collectively groups across the UK are aiming to raise £50,000 with similar events.
