olYmpic gold medallist Amy Williams visited the Decathlon store in Giltbrook last weekend.
The sports star made a guest appearance as part of the store’s open day, held to encourage people to do more exercise.
The store allowed people to try out different exercise and sports equipment and Amy joined in, encouraging people to give it a go.
There was a surf simulator, a rugby challenge and there was even the chance to have a go at rock wall climbing.
Amy won gold at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in the Skeleton when she became the first individual winter gold medallist since Robin Cousins in 1980.
The sports star said: “The Decathlon event highlighted to sports fans and those who may have never done any sports before, just how fun it is to take part. It has many benefits, including boosting your overall health and well-being.”
