A SUPERMARKET worker in Kimberley cycled for three-and-a-half hours non-stop on an exercise bike to raise money for a local charity.
Angela Sheldon from Sainsburys cycled miles and miles last Friday and raised over £500 for the Ryan Lee Trust Fund, the store’s chosen charity for the year.
She said: “I’m glad its over but I think my legs are still going!
“I’m the charity co-ordinator and it was something I wanted to do personally. I didn’t want colleagues doing something that I’m not willing to do myself.”
The Ryan Lee Trust Fund was set up in memory of a 15-year-old from Kimberley who died of a brain tumour last year.
Ryan’s mum, Debbie, heads the trust and raises money to buy specialist equipment for children with terminal illness who want to live at home whilst they are ill, rather than staying in hospital.
