A SPECIAL writing workshop for teachers will take place at Durban House Heritage Centre in Eastwood.
‘Teach the teacher’ is being run by the British Library and the National Association of Writers in Education.
“If teachers become writers themselves, they will be better teachers of writing,” said Liz Cashdan, the writer, teacher and poet who is taking the workshop.
Ms Cashdan spent many years as a secondary school History and English teacher, later moving into university work as a teacher of Creative Writing.
The free one-day workshop in September is open to all teachers and offered on a first-come first-served basis.
