A teenager’s trip of a lifetime to help build a school for impoverished people in Cambodia has been given a welcome boost.
Nottinghamshire County Councillor Philip Owen has provided a £100 boost to Nuthall teenager Dan Brown who is taking part in the Cambodia School Trekking Expedition in July and August 2016.
Dan, 16, a sixth form student at Bluecoat Academy is one of several teenagers across Nottinghamshire who has committed to the Cambodia project which is run by Camps International UK.
Coun Owen has provided support from his Divisional Fund. Dan has to raise a sum of £3,700.
