Nottinghamshire is bucking the national trend as its most popular baby names for 2014 are Jack and Olivia.
The County Council is the registration authority for baby names in Nottinghamshire and offers residents the chance to celebrate the birth of their child through a naming ceremony.
The national top ten baby names have been announced and Muhammad and Sophia top the lists.
Similarities between the local and national list include Oliver being the second favourite for boys and the continued popularity of Noah, Charlie, Amelia and Emily.
No baby was registered as Muhammad in Nottinghamshire this year.
Prince George continues to influence local boys’ names as George reached eighth most popular position, whereas it is no longer in the national top ten.
