A well-known community treasure from Nuthall is moving out of the area after 59 years.
Jackie Hanson, 85, is bidding a fond farewell to go to Hampshire to be nearer to her family.
Mrs Hanson, a stalwart at Nuthall Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, held office as a past president and secretary of its Womens Fellowship group. She made her mark as an accomplished soprano singer with numerous choirs and for the past nine years she has sang with the Bluecoat Singers.
Mrs Hanson was a founder of the Kimberley and District Musical Society.
