Eastwood Mayor Ken Woodhead is hosting his charity ball tomorrow night, Saturday, March 17.

The party will be held at Basford Hall Miners’ Welfare and will raise money for the Mayor’s two charities, the British Heart Foundation and Mencap.

There will be a buffet and a raffle at the ball, which is held by Eastwood’s town Mayor every year to raise money for their chosen charities.

Tickets are £5 and so far Cllr Woodhead has sold 100 tickets.

“I am hoping for a good turnout,” he said.

“It’s to raise money for two great charities.”

People can either buy tickets on the door, or call Cllr Woodhead to purchase tickets on 07773 899 584.

A new Mayor of Eastwood will be appointed in May.
