PRIORY Catholic Primary School in Eastwood received an award for raising the most amount of money during the Remembrance Day poppy appeal.
Eastwood’s Royal British Legion presented teachers and pupils with the Rodney Todd memorial cup after the school raised more than any other in the area during the appeal for the second year running.
Headteacher Anthony Harrison said: “It was lovely that we had done it again and we’ll try and make it a third next year.”
Pupils sold poppies at the school gates to raise the cash.
The trophy is named after Rodney Todd, the founding member of the legion’s Eastwood branch.
