UKIP top Broxtowe polls in election

The unkited Kingdom Independence Party carried on their winning ways in Broxtowe, topping the polls with more than 9,000 votes.

The party, who experienced success on a national scale, won more than 1,000 more votes than the Labour Party in second place.

UK Independence Party (UKIP) - 9488.

UKIP’s successful night saw them secure more than a third of the whole of the East Midlands votes.

They will send two MEPs to represent the East Midlands to Brussels.
