A new family fun weekend in Kimberley has been hailed as a great success.
Kimberley Town Council decided to organise the event for the first time this year after scaling back the town’s annual pram race, and said it was something it wants to continue with every year.
The weekend had a ‘fun at the seaside’ theme and there were pony rides, a sand pit, Punch and Judy, face painting, a stilt walker and various stalls.
Mary McGuckin, the chair of the events committee said: “The weather was beautiful and families had lots of fun. We are looking forward to the next year.”
The pram race has been scaled back to a morning parade and will take place on September 8.
