The deadline for voting in the Advertiser’s Pet of the Year competition has been extended.

The aim is to give those who haven’t made their minds up yet a chance to cast their.

To tie in with this, we have also printed the photos of all the pets in the running again in this week’s paper, so be sure to pick up a copy.

Across six pages we have more than 120 perfect pooches, cute cats and a healthy selection of more unusual pets.

The competition has really captured the imagination of pet-loving locals with prizes up for grabs in two categories — ‘cats and dogs’ and ‘out of the box and cage’.

In last week’s voting special there were some errors with reference numbers for pets, but measures have been taken to make sure each pet receives its rightful votes.

You can cast your vote using our special voting coupon you will find on page 26 of the paper, which has a space for your top pick or you can vote using the special text line by using the specific code for your selection.

Postal votes can be sent to the Advertiser promotions office at York Street, Sheffield S1 IPU (no photocopies accepted).

Or you can drop them off at the Lawrence Veterinary Centre on Nottingham Road, Eastwood, which is one of the co-sponsors of the event. The other is John Booth Photography, of Ilkeston.

The deadline is July 6.

Once all the votes have been cast and counted we will reveal the top three in each of the categories with the winner scooping a £100 voucher from John Booth Photography, and a £50 voucher from Lawrence Veterinary Centre; second place getting £50 and £25 vouchers from the respective sponsors and third place a £20 and a £10 vouchers.

The top three will also scoop a canvas of the photo taken for the competition.

Don’t delay, get voting today.
