Brinsley Art Exhibition

Cost: free

Venue: Eastwood Library, Wellington Place; Mondays and Thursdays 9am-6pm; Tuesdays 9am-1pm; Fridays 9am-2pm.

Saturday July 5:

Windsocks and Kites workshop:

Create windsocks from recycled materials and decorate them. Suitable for 4-7 year olds. From 10.30am-12pm.

Make a willow and tissue paper kite and decorate it. Suitable for 7-11 year olds. From 1pm-3.30pm.

Cost: £3 per child

Venue: St Mary’s Church Parish Rooms, Church Street.

What did your great-grandparents do during WW1?

Drop in session with Bob Charlesworth to find out about your family’s history.From 10am-1pm.

Cost: Free

Venue: Town Council Offices, Mansfield Road.

Making a Difference Market

Craft supplies market with buttons, wool, knitting patterns, scrapbooking materials and fabric. From 11am-2pm.

Venue: The Library Acoustic Bar, Scargill Walk.

Monday July 7:

Willow weaving for adults workshop

Introductory class to produce woven willow flowers, place mats or a platter. From 10am-4pm.

Cost: £25/£20 concessions.

Venue: Plumptre Hall, Church Street.

Thursday July 10:

Lyrical Allsorts

Poems, prose and stories performed by Eastwood Writers Club. 7.30pm

Cost: £5/£4 concessions

Venue: D H Lawrence Heritage Centre, Mansfield Road

Friday July 11:

Movement For All Workshop

Dance session for 60+ year olds, all abilities welcome. From 2pm-3.30pm.

Cost: free

Venue: Plumptre Hall, Church Street.

Saturday July 12:

Family Fun Day

A day of art, dance, sport, music and drama for all the family!

Cost: free

Venue: Coronation Park, Chewton Street, Eastwood, From 12midday-4pm


An evening of art, dance, sport and music for teenagers

Cost: free
