Woman accused of threatening her mum with knife in Langley Mill

A woman has appeared in court accused of threatening her mother with a knife and spitting on a police officer.

She is also alleged to have punched her mother during the alleged incident in Andrews Drive.

Jody Eley is also alleged to have punched her mother during the alleged incident in Andrews Drive, Langley Mill on Thursday, April 8.

The incident is alleged to have taken place while the 30-year-old was visiting her mum.

Ms Eley, who appeared in court over video link from HMP Foston Hall, denied charges of assault by beating, assault by beating of an emergency worker and affray.

Ms Eley, of Bromley Court, Shrewsbury, will next appear at Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court on May 26, for trial.
