Work for dementia

Work to improve care for dementia patients at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) was highlighted as part of World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21.

Posters, information flyers, banners and balloons will greet patients and visitors as they arrive at the Queen’s Medical Centre from 9am to 5pm to help raise awareness about the condition. Members of the Alzheimer’s Society will also be on hand to answer questions.

Alzheimer’s is the most common type of dementia, which covers progressive degenerative brain syndromes affecting memory, thinking, behaviour and emotion.
