Confectionery brand Haribo currently operates two manufacturing facilities in the UK, but fans of their sweets can now visit its second outlet store, which is due to open next week.

Officially launching on Thursday 22 November, the 1,487 square foot unit will be located in York and will follow on from the success of the London Designer Outlet, which opened at Wembley Park in 2017.

Party packs and pick-and-mix

The new outlet store at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet York will offer a taste of the Happy World of Haribo, with a selection of treats that both expand on and complement what is already on offer within the UK.

Customers will also be able to browse branded merchandise, party packs and sharing formats, and customise bags of sweets from the pick-and-mix zone.

Rebecca Fox, Retail Manager at Haribo, said: “Having our own stores has been on our agenda for some time.

“York is the perfect location for us and further builds on the success that we have seen from our first outlet store in London, bringing us closer to achieving our ambitious retail plans.”

It is currently unclear if more Haribo stores are due to open across the UK in the future.
