Becky Adlington is belle of Armchair Club's ball
Mansfield's double Olympic gold medallist, Becky Adlington, was the guest of honour as the town's Armchair Club celebrated its 36th year of providing financial support for young sportspeople.
‘The Sporting Heroes Ball’ heard Adlington share inside stories about her journey to success, and she was joined on stage by fellow swimmer Elliot Clogg, twice a silver medallist at the Commonwealth Games. Since its launch in 1982, the Armchair Club has raised more than £210,000 for Mansfield’s sporting community.
