After two weekends without action due to Covid, skipper George Bacon expects to have a full strength squad.

“The two lads will be back after Covid,” he said.

“Their period of isolation began after the positive tests on Monday of last week so they will be back Thursday evening/Friday morning.

“They will have a session together Friday afternoon ahead of being back on Saturday. It will be good to have them back.

“We might have Dom Brown back too who has been injured for a few weeks.

“So we should have the side that we want and the side that we need to beat Clifton.”

Clifton sit fourth in the table and Bacon said: “Clifton are an interesting side.

“They came back into the league and we didn't play them last year as they were in a different group to us.

“At the start of the season people were not really fancying them to be up to much.

“But they have clearly added some players, the players they had have been doing very well, and it looks like they have built themselves into a really strong side.”

He added: “I know their coach Andrew Jackman really well. I spent a lot of time with him and he is great. If he is involved you know they will be a decent unit.

“If they can beat Cavaliers then you know they will be strong.

“We are just looking forward to playing really.

“We have continued to try to prepare as best we can. We will have another session on Thursday this week and I am sure we will be as ready as we can for Saturday.”

On Sunday it's cup action at Eckington. Four teams are invited every year to play in the Derbyshire Cup and Bacon said: “We have played in it for years and years and we really enjoy competing in it. It's up near Sheffield so a bit of a drive for the lads and we will go up there and do the best we can.”
