Kimberley Institute under-19s will face an Australian U19 team from the Adelaide-based Jason Gillespie Academy next Friday (12th)
The one day match at the 2BM Ground on Newdigate Street has been arranged by local cricket bat manufacturer, B3 Cricket, and will form part of a tour the Academy side are taking part in across the UK.
Michael Blatherwick, director of cricket for Kimberley ICC said: “This is a great opportunity for our young players to measure themselves against their Australian counterparts.
“The game will be competitive but very friendly and we will make the Australians and their travelling supporters very welcome.
“The bar will be open and there will be a BBQ afterwards. If fans haven’t got tickets to the real Ashes at Trent Bridge and want to see a great game then we welcome anyone who wants to come along.”
The match will begin at 11am and be 50 overs per side.
