Twitter user @ExWHUemployee usually reveals all West Ham transfers before they happen and he understands Byram has played his last game for the Hammers.

On the rumoured deal to join Forest, he tweeted: “This could be confirmed very soon.”

That would make Byram Forest’s 11th new addition under new manager Aitor Karanka.

The 24-year-old joined the Hammers from Leeds in January 2016 but he failed to nail down a regular place.

The Reds are also continuing their pursuit of Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo, but it is believed the Reds now want £15 million for the England youngster and would consider a loan if they can’t shift him on a permanent deal at that price.

It had originally been reported that the Anfield club were prepared to sell him for £10 million.

Ryan Yates scored the only goal of the game last night at the club he spent time on loan at as the Reds won 1-0 at Scunthorpe United.

Boss Karanka had been considering sending Yates out on loan again this season but, on that display, admitted he may keep him in the squad.
