Kimberley Miners Welfare had a frustrating afternoon after they were held 1-1 at struggling Ellistown & Ibstock United.
Despite dominating the game for large spells they were unable to wrap up all three. points.
With several players missing manager Hemmings handed a first start to goalkeeper Harry Burton as well as calling up Scott Bailey and Shaun Williams, who have both impressed for the clubs reserve team.
Debutant Keeper Burton spent most of the first half as a spectator as Kimberley took control of the game, but missed chances cost dearly as Williams, Grant and recent addition Abolliah all went close.
Kimberley came out strong once again in the second half and were rewarded after 59 minutes when neat build up play allowed Shaun Williams time to fire home from just inside the box.
Kimberley pressed for a second goal, but some stern defending and good goalkeeping left them frustrated.
The sucker punch came with just seven minutes remaining when Onochie tried his luck from distance and his wind assisted effort left Burton with no chance. Kimberley pushed to regain the lead but it wasn’t to be as manager Hemmings declared it two points dropped.
