Mini soccer took centre stage for Priory Celtic last weekend.

The U7 Greens travelled to Hucknall to play the Blues in a friendly match.

The match was drawn 4-4, parents’ player of the match Harrison Fields scoring twice and Alfie May and manager’s player of the match Daniel Bailey also on target.

Priory’s U7 Hoops also travelled to Hucknall on Sunday morning to play a friendly against Hucknall Sports Black.

The game ended in a 3-3 draw, Chester Rudkin running through for the first, Reece Beasley drilling in the second and then Thomas Hodgkinson getting the third after winning a tackle that put him through on goal.

The man of the match awards went to Thomas Hodgkinson and Reece Beasley.

Priory’s U8 Saturday squad entertained Sherwood Blue at Kimberley Leisure Centre, producing another convincing victory for Wayne Walker’s ever improving team.

Manager’s man of the match went to Lucas Ellis, with the parents’ award going to Zach Goodson.

Priory U14 Girls wrapped up all three points with a hard-fought 1-0 win away to West Bridgford Colts.

Caitlin Dickinson bagged a first-half goal as the game swung from end to end, West Bridgford missing a penalty in the last minute.

Girl of the game went to Elisha Johnson.

The U10s beating Cotgrave Claret 7-1. Both Jake Dawes and Taylor Stubbs helped themselves to hat-tricks with Matthew Jackson scoring the final goal. Dawes, Stubbs and Eddie Wylie were voted players of the match.

Priory’s U9 Hoops had a great 6-0 win away at West Bridgford. Man of match was Albie Gibbswho scored a hat trick.

Priory’s U11 Green took on Hucknall Sports Red aiming to keep up their 100 per cent record and maintain top spot in Division Two.

This they did with a 3-0 win although it took until the second-half for all the goals to arrive.

Man of the match Tommy Reeves created the first, crossing for Isaac Morledge who chested the ball over the line.

Two more crosses from Reeves resulted in a second goal for Morledge and then a well-taken finish from Mitchell Purdy.

The U14 Black squad kept up their good form with a convincing win against Rolls Royce Leisure.

Two goals for Jayden Smith and a goal each for Liam Garner, Bradley McIntosh, Matthew Smalley and Jack Wolverson completed the 6-2 win.

Man of the Match was awarded to Tyler Beard.
