Heavy loss ends U14 girls’ great start

Moorgreen Colts’ U14 Girls have lost their 100 per cent record after falling to a 6-1 defeat at home to Radcliffe, Abbey Hall with the goal and Emily George girl of the match.

There was also disappointment for the U14 Boys who lost in the Ben Cup 3-0 against Ashfield FC from the Mansfield Division One, man-of-the-match going to James Bentley.

The U13s won convincingly against Toton Tigers, their 7-2 victory secured thanks to a hat-trick from Justin Holmes, two for Greg Brown and the other Colts goals coming from Sam Bulgin and Nathan Slater.

The U12s were beaten 5-2 by West Bridgford Warriors, Christian Greenwood and Elliot Bott scoring and Jack Cook the Colts man-of-the-match.

The U11s won 4-3 in a cracking game against Bulwell Forest.

Man-of-the-match Cian Sheridan hit a hat-trick and Joe Reeve scored the other goal.

The U10 Blues were also successful with a 3-2 win over Hucknall, Kye Palmer scoring twice and Connor Wilson with the other.

The U10 Whites lost 2-1 to Riverside Blues with Leo Allen registering Colts’ only goal.

The U9s had to work hard to maintain their 100 per cent record in the league against Keyworth.

Goals from Freddie Pitts and Ben Hilton, coupled with some fine defending from Callum Frogson, Cianan O’Kane and Leo Parsons, maintained their position at the top of the league.

The U7s, U8 Blues and U8 Whites all had excellent games.

George Skevington was man-of-the-match for the U7s while Ben Cook took the honour for the U8 Blues.

Aiden Appleby was man-of-the-match for the U8 Whites.
