Kimberley swimmers got off to a winning start at the weekend in the first round of the Notts & District gala held at the Lammas Centre in Sutton.
The gala was for swimmers of all ages and despite the club being short of competitors in certain age groups, those who did swim put in an excellent performance to come out on top.
It was a closely fought gala throughout the evening and at the halfway mark three teams were in contention for the win, with Kimberley in second place.
But with a haul of first places in the second half of the gala, Kimberley just edged into the lead to seal their victory.

Swimmers who achieved new personal best times were Robyn Beecham, Jack Brown, Greg Brown (2), Ben Barsby, Jade Calder and Elise Yorston.
Kimberley are in action again on this Saturday (15th) in the second round of the Minor Gala League.
