Lee Westwood Junior Championship set to tee off in July

Worksop Golf Club, Lee Westwood and the Worksop Guardian have launched the 2016 Lee Westwood Junior Championship.

Now in its 19th year, the 25th July event is one of the most prestigious in the area’s golf scene with juniors flocking to Windmill Lane from across the region in their droves.

Trophies are on offer for the stableford and scratch champions, while event sponsors PING will once again supply top prizes.

Westwood expects another hard fought competition: “I’d like to wish everyone taking part at the Junior Championship the best of luck. It’s a great tournament that gets better with each year that passes.

“It’s a great course and I’m sure everyone involved will make some birdies and have a lot of fun.”
