The action began on Friday night and in Division One, Awsworth Villa Reserves fell to a 2-1 defeat at Netherfield, Sam Holdsworth’s goal not enough as the home side ran out winners.

On Saturday in the Senior Division, Jake Fisher and Ben Greenly were on target as Kimberley Miners Welfare secured a 2-0 away win at Burton Joyce.

Awsworth Villa, on the other hand, had something of a bad day at the office, as they fell to a heavy 8-2 defeat at Cotgrave.

Selston were also defeated as they lost 3-1 at home to Bilborough Town, Tim Moore their only scorer.

In Division One, the battle of the Villas saw Underwood prove too strong for Awsworth Reserves in a 4-1 victory.

Nick Thorpe scored twice for Underwood with Eddie Morrell and an own goal rounding off the victory.

In Division Two action, Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves fell to a 2-1 home defeat against FC05 with Mat Walker on target for the hosts.

Moorgreen’s Rob Moncaster, meanwhile, was the match-winner as they earned a 1-0 home victory over Bingham Town.

Selston Reserves were victorious by the odd goal in five as they edged to a 3-2 win at home against Ashland Rovers, Alan Smith scoring twice and Liam Bower hitting the other goal as Selston took all three points.
