FIGHT NIGHT -- for kickboxer-turned-boxer Scott 'Fat Boy' Taylor.

Eastwood light-heavyweight Calum Reeve has ditched the day job and stepped up his training ahead of his next fight.

Reeve is set to be matched in Nottingham on Saturday, August 20 when Andy Flint tops the bill.

Flint boxes for the vacant Novice EBF Midlands Area light-heavyweight title at PRZYM nightclub.

Reeve is looking to get back on track after a defeat and spell out with a back injury.

He’s given up his job in a factory to concentrate on his personal training work - and his boxing career.

Trainer Ian Buttle said: “Calum is training all day now and sparring as much as he can.

“He wants to give boxing his best shot.

“Calum has ambition, but at the moment, it’s all about gaining experience.

“Win or lose, as long as he’s learning, we’re happy.”

Reeve lost his last fight in February, to Paul Stevenson.

He was beaten on points after a competitive fight and Buttle added: “We’ve done some sparring with Paul in the last few weeks and you can see the improvement Calum has made.

“We are definitely interested in a rematch further down the line.”
