Kimberley Swimming Club took a squad of younger competitors to compete in the second round of the Leicester Diddy League competition on Saturday.
With the first round being cancelled, Kimberley had to gain as many points possible to be in with a chance of making the final in June, and did themselves with top three finishes in 44 of the 48 races.
Individual winners were: Jessie Henderson (Girls 9yr 25m breast), Luke Snowden (Boys 9yr 25m breast), Charly Neilson (Girls 11yr 25m fly), Isabelle Jervis (Girls 9yr 25m back), Matthew Shipley (Boys 9yr 25m back), Josh Shipman (Boys 10yr 25m fly) and Mollie Wright (Girls 12yr 50m free & Girls 12yr 50m fly).
Winning relay teams were: Isabelle Jervis, Jessie Henderson, Holly Mansfield, Georgia Headland (Girls 9yr Medley relay) and Aidan Williamson, Matthew Shipley, Josh Shipman, Ben Hatton (Boys 10yr Free relay & 10 yr Medley relay).
New personal best times were achieved by: Jessie Henderson (2), Luke Snowden (2), Elise Yorston (2), Maatthew Shipley (2), Charly Neilson, Ryan Pigott, Callum Williamson, Jade Kennerell, Jade Calder, Ben Hatton, Isabelle Jervis, Holy Orme, Josh Shipman, Lauren Moore, Harry Jervis & Greg Brown.
Kimberley finished in second place overall and now face an anxious wait to see if they have earned a place in the final which takes place on June 25.
