Indie rockers Shed Seven announce new tour - including dates in Nottingham and Sheffield
Fan-favourites Shed Seven have announced a new tour – with dates across the region.
The York quartet are hitting the road to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their second album, 1996’s A Maximum High, which spawned five top-25 singles, including Going for Gold and Getting Better.
And they will be joined by a trio of other Nineties favourites, thanks to support from MCH made up of The Bluetones singer Mark Morriss, Dodgy frontman NIgel Clark and Chris Helme, formerly of The Seahorses.
Rick Witter, Shed Seven vocalist, said: “After what has been going on in the world, we can’t wait to get out there and play what has become a biennial Christmas tradition in ‘Shedcember’.
“You can expect the usual set, full of our hits, with a few surprises thrown in, and we can’t wait to hit the road.
“See you down the front.”
Shed Seven have achieved great success since they burst onto the scene in 1994.
They have so far released five studio albums including 2017’s top-10 album Instant Pleasures.
Last year, the band achieved their sixth top 40 album with the self-released Another Night, Another Town, a live album featuring performances from their 2018 Manchester Castlefield Bowl headline show and 2019 tour, including the tour finale at Leeds Arena, incredibly the band’s first arena show.
