REVIEW: Disney on Ice is magical and more

The whole arena had a party atmosphere from the minute we arrived, mini Mickey and Minnie Mouse fans packed out the Motorpoint Arena and there were little ones in Elsa dresses everywhere you looked.

The show opened with It’s A Small World and was a great taster of what was to come. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy explained they were off on their travels with the first stop in Africa.

The audience went wild for The Lion King and giggled away at the hilarious Timon and Pumbaa.

Nest stop was London - a spectacular routine introduced the crowd to the Darling family and shortly after Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.

The story of Peter Pan had the longest stint of the show and deservedly so, it was captivating. Archie, three, Charlie, almost two, as well as everyone else in the arena, were in awe of the fantastic routines (Peter Pan chasing his shadow was a highlight), laugh out loud funny moments and excellent scenery.

After a short interval, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy were back to take us Under the Sea with a Little Mermaid sequence which was a sparkle fest.

Last stop was Arundel for the story of Frozen. Let It Go was an obvious and fitting final number before all of the characters were back for the all singing and dancing finale as rapturous applause rang out.

The show was as magical as you would expect and more. Disney certainly knows how to put on a show.
