Looking for something to do with the children this summer? The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum in Eastwood has many free drop-in events running from now until the end of August.

Visit the shop and enjoy some summer arts and crafts making paper lanterns and bunting to take home with you, perfect for the next garden party or barbecue.

If you have ever wanted to discover the different countries D.H. Lawrence visited throughout his life, the museum now has a holiday-themed trail for children throughout the ground floor, taking them around the globe on an exciting adventure.

There’s no need to book, but please make sure to check ahead to ensure the Museum is not closed for a group visit.

The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum is an award-winning visitor attraction. It combines D.H. Lawrence’s authentically recreated childhood home, with an exhibition space celebrating the author’s life, work and humble beginnings. From here you can also explore the surrounding countryside, which inspired his work.

The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. For more information, contact the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum on 0115 9173824, email or visit
