THE latest Derby Jazz concert to be staged at Derby’s Assembly Rooms is to be held on Saturday, November 26, and features the Lea DeLaria Quartet.
Lea DeLaria’s jazz singing voice has been described as a cross between Ella Fitzgerals and a Broadway diva.
As it happens, she has sung on Broadway and also operates as a stand-up comedian, so is a woman of many parts.
She is backed by a trio of highly talented musicians, led by pianist Janette Mason.
There will be jazz in the foyer from 7pm and then Lea DeLaria’s performance starts at 8pm in the Darwin Suite.
Tickets are £12 (£10 concessions, accompanied under 19s get in free).
