Music fans in for a treat in Ripley


This year’s Ripley Music Festival reaches a grand conclusion this weekend with many more acts lined up for your delectation.

Tonight (Thursday, July 10), you can enjoy a concert at All Saints Church in the town centre by Flute Finesse, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5.

On the same night, the Daz Kelly Band are in action at The Thorn Tree pub, starting at 8pm, with free entry for the gig.

Friday, July 11, features a Schools Day at Crossley Park, from 1pm-2.30pm. Entry is free.

The Sonora Singers perform at All Saints Church, also on Friday, from 7.30pm (£5 tickets) while there is a Youth Bands event at Crossley Park from 7pm-9pm featuring with Waiting on Antony and Parasight (free entry).

Saturday, July 12, features Tomkatz performing on Oxford Street, Ripley, from 11am–1pm. There is also a Picnic in the Park at Crossley Park from 1pm–3pm with music by Licksquid, Executive Crew, John Doherty and Red Nation. Entry is free.

To round off the day, there is a Proms Spectacular and Firework Display with Thunderbird 4 and Newstead Brass at Crossley Park from 7.30pm onwards.

The final day of this year’s festival is Sunday, July 13, and starts with Rom Fest on Crossley Park, from 1pm—6pm with free entry. It features Peculiar Disco Moves, Fate the Juggler, Danny Smart, Water for Dogs, 3 Minute Heist and Psycho Sally, plus a licensed bar and food stall.

Finally, there is a Jam Night, a free after-show party at The Holly Bush, from 8pm. All are welcome.
