Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra has a programme of popular music in its concert at the the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, on April 5, starting at 7.30pm.
NPO celebrates 40 years of concerts since Malcolm Nabarro founded the orchestra. The first concert by the Nottingham Sinfonietta, as it was then, featured Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture. The orchestra will open its latest concert with that very same piece of music, and also play works by Ravel and Mussorgsky.
