Derby Concert Orchestra will perform the final concert of their current season at St Mary’s Church, Wirksworth, on Saturday, July 13.
The first half of the concert has a distinctly Spanish feel, featuring Espana by Chabrier, Falla’s Nights In The Gardens Of Spain, with Beate Toyka as pianist, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol.
The second half is given over to Dvorak’s hugely popular Ninth Symphony, ‘From The New World’.
The concert, conducted by Jonathan Trout, starts at 7.3pm. Tickets are available on the door, or Payne’s the Chemist in Wirksworth.
