There’s a double dose of tribute heaven at The Flowerpot in Derby later this month, starting with a visit on Friday, June 8, by Who’s Next.
As the name suggests, the band is a Who tribute act and will giving audience members a taste of an exhilarating Who live gig, playing many of the best-loved tracks from the illustrious back catalogue of Messrs Townshend, Moon, Daltrey and Entwistle.
Then, on Saturday, June 9, the King Street-based venue plays host to All Right Now, a Free/Bad Company tribute that features ex-Status Quo drummer Jeff Rich and Johnny Warman, playing tracks made famous by the Paul Rodgers-fronted rock bands.
On Wednesday, there’s rock and blues from Tommy R Jones, the latest performer in the free Acoustic Wednesdays slot, in the bar from 9pm on Wednesday, June 13.
Doors open for the other two gigs at 8pm and admission is £9 for Who’s Next and £10 for All Right Now.
