Gatepost Theatre Company will be presenting the world premiere of their exciting new show Whatever You Want later this month.
It can be seen at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre from Wednesday, March 26 to Saturday, March 29.
Loscoe-based Gatepost Theatre Company believes the show will be a real treat for all theatre-goers and Status Quo fans alike.
The show has been written by the company’s musical director, Kate Baker, and follows a diverse bunch of holiday goers as they depart for their summer vacation to Ibiza in 1979, and the adventure that ensues under the Mediterranean sun – alongside an excellent soundtrack featuring 28 songs by the classic rock band Status Quo.
Originally written in 2009, Kate and her husband Jim, who is directing the show, have worked tirelessly for the past five years to secure the performing rights and can now finally bring the show to the stage.
Status Quo classics such as Caroline, Paper Plane, Burning Bridges, Margarita Time and, of course, Whatever You Want are just a few of the all-time great songs that are featured by the long-running British band.
Whatever You Want will be presented Wednesday through to Saturday, March 26-29, starting at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
Tickets are now on sale from the box office at www.derbylive.co.uk
