THE Sunday Piano Series of recitals at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall continues on Sunday, November 27, with a performance by Alexander Romanovsky, from 11am.
The Russian pianist is one of the music world’s most exciting rising stars and will begin his concert with the last and greatest of Haydn’s 52 piano sonatas.
The emotional depth and technical challenges of Brahms’s Variations on a Theme Of Paganini makes a rewarding centrepiece while Rachmaninov’s Piano Sonata No 1, offers a powerful finale, ambitious in its breadth and richly expressive.
Tickets cost £10 including tea/coffee and cake.
