After Mansfield faced travel disruptions, excessive flooding and road closures following Storm Babet over the weekend – we are reminded of similar scenes from fifty years ago, after prolonged heavy rain in the summer of 1973 caused flooding across central parts of the UK, hitting Mansfield town centre.
