An 81-year-old man has appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court charged with raping and sexually assaulting a child.

Alan Jordan, of Broadway, Syston, Leicestershire, has been charged with three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and three of sexual touching, and two counts of inciting sexual activity.
Because the case is so serious it was sent to Nottingham Crown Court for a hearing on August 22.
