Hairdresser stole cash from OAP

A Warsop hairdresser was given a suspended sentence after admitting stealing from a pensioner’s home.

Paula Gannon, 45 of Ridgeway Lane pleaded guilty to four separate thefts of £20 from the house of her 86-year old customer at Shirebrook.

The court heard the offences took place between 25th December 2012 and 26th February 2014.

Gannon appeared at Derbyshire Crown Court on 8th December where she was sentenced to a total of 10 weeks imprisonment suspended for nine months.

Gannon pleaded not guilty to a charge of the theft of a further amount of £2,200, which was left to lie on file.
