Her ‘Great Nan,’ Doreen Wood, from Garibaldi, was born in October, 88 years ago. Doreen was eventually a mum of six, with four girls and two boys, but her first daughter was Linda Cole, now 63, of Forest Town. Linda, would go on to have two girls and two boys, and her first daughter was Claire Ducker, 45, of Mansfield Woodhouse. Claire had one daughter and two sons. Now her daughter Charlotte, is now mum to Elisia, her own first daughter!
Charlotte said: “As a family we just thought it was a bit unusual, so my Great Nan, Doreen Wood, just insisted I contacted the Chad to share the story and the picture of the five generations of us girls.
"She thinks it is really great, she has been asking me for years to have a baby, and she kept saying she had really wanted to see the fifth generation of girls born! Now it has happened and she and the whole family are so thrilled about it! It’s definitely a case of girl power!”
