Police appeal after Mansfield man ‘run over by stolen car’
Police launched an investigation after Carl ‘Glassback’ Denny was found unconscious in the car park of the Chesterfield Road South garage at about 1.15pm on Tuesday 24th June.
Mr Denny, who is believed to be the manager at the business, sustained serious head injuries in the incident, where thieves made off with his BMW.

Hide AdIn information circulated to local residents by Nottinghamshire Police, it states: “Unfortunately the owner of the vehicle was run over by the offenders as they made good their escape.”
Colleagues at National Tyres have said that Mr Denny is ‘hopefully on the mend’ after being rushed to the intensive care unit at Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre.
A statement released by police yesterday said that Mr Denny was now in a “stable condition” in hospital.
Mr Denny’s car was allegedly stolen in the incident and police are seeking to trace his light-coloured BMW 4x4, registration DV06 VCW, which was driven off towards the town centre.

Hide AdOfficers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or saw the car as it left the car park to come forward.
Mr Denny’s wife Alison declined to comment when she was contacted by Chad, but friends have left dozens of messages on social media wishing the couple well.

*Police are currently questioning a 32-year-old man from the Bradford area on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. At the time of going to press he remained in police custody pending further enquiries.
