Lengendary tour of county aboard a bus
The Robin Hood Express Sherwood Forest Bus Tour will stop at Rufford Abbey, Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve, King John’s Palace and Newstead Abbey.
Along the way archeology and history guides will join forces to provide unrivalled local knowledge of historic Sherwood Forest.

Hide AdThey include expert archaeologists from Mercian Archaeological Services’ Sherwood Forest Archaeology Project and archaeologist and specialist Peter Hammond.
The tour stops for an hour at Rufford Abbey and an hour at the Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve.
There will also be an hour-long stop at King John’s Palace with a tour provided by Andy Gaunt, of Mercian Archaeological Services.
The visit to Newstead includes an external tour of the buildings by Peter Hammond.

Hide AdEach stop will allow the opportunity to visit on-site shops and have refreshments.
The trip departs from Wellington Circus, Nottingham, on 21st August at 9.30am and returns at 5pm depending on traffic.
Tickets cost £12.50 per person.
