Latest figures show four MORE patients died from Covid-19 in Mansfield hospitals

The most recent NHS England data reveals a further four patients have died from coronavirus in Mansfield hospitals.

Latest figures show an additional four virus fatalities were documented within Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which runs Mansfield Community Hospital, King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton and Newark Hospital.

A total of 213 patients are confirmed to have died from Covid-19 while being treated by hospitals within the Trust.

Across England, another 295 people who contracted coronavirus have also lost their lives while being cared for in hospitals across the country.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England up to 41,605 since the pandemic first hit.

Patients were aged between 39 and 99 years old and everyone, apart from 11 people, had known underlying health conditions.

Records show that the date of fatalities ranges from October 24 to December 2, with the majority of deaths being on or after November 30.
