Three more people die in Nottinghamshire as NHS England announces 350 more coronavirus victims

Three more people at Sherwood Forest Hospitals have died after testing positive for COVID-19, latest NHS figures show.

This brings the number of deaths at the trust to 110, with 1165 cases confirmed.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals runs King’s Mill Hospital, in Sutton, and Mansfield Community Hospital.

Across England a further 350 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 23,709.

Patients were aged between 25 and 101 years old. 22 of the 350 patients (aged between 30 and 100 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

The death toll for England and the UK is expected to be much higher than official figures as deaths in care homes and elsewhere in the community are not included in the daily updates.

Yesterday the government announced that lockdown restrictions would start to be loosened.
